Join us at this fabulous venue and get creative learning how to weave a beautiful wreath and heart from willow, and decorating them with dried flowers. We will be working in a marquee at the National Stone Centre with fabulous views.
We'll show you how to use this wonderful, sustainable material to create both wreaths and hearts which make perfect gifts or decorations for the home. Using British grown and dried flowers, we'll then create beautiful arrangements to decorate the willow. This is a great introduction to anyone who wants to try their hand at willow weaving but also for more experienced weavers who wish to hone their skills.
We will be working in a shelter but please come dressed appropriately in warm clothing.
Your tutor will be Sally Wheal, who has worked for many years in willow sculpture and founder of Wild Roots Creative; a not for profit company working to provide opportunities for people to take part in creative activity for positive mental health.
